French EDM superstar David Guetta returns to his roots with a track he says "sounds nothing like I've done in the past".
When you first hear his new single Dangerous with Sam Martin on the vocals, it's hard to picture this is a David Guetta song. After big room releases like Bad and Shot Me Down nobody expected the French producer to follow up with a track that features everything from piano to a Nile Rodgers' style guitar and even an orchestral touch.
The only thing the track doesn't feature is that massive big room drop, we've come to know Guetta for. Dangerous sounds more like his work from over a decade ago, when Love Don't Let Me Go and Just A Little More Love were hits.
So is he going back to his roots with this track? And if so, can we expect more releases like this? Only time will tell, though releases like this are becoming more and more popular. With artists like Avicii (who helped produce Lovers on the Sun) and Daft Punk exploring that whole different side of EDM as well. That said, a very clever "David Guetta Banging Remix" appeared on Soundcloud a day later, so the big room fans weren't let down. Very clever indeed David.
